From today at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. This was kind of a grab shot, an instant later and it was gone. I wish I had gotten a bit more depth of field.

She is the most inquisitive cat we’ve ever had.

It was drizzling and foggy this morning. I got this shot in a bed of baby clover growing in my back yard.

The Eastern Fox Squirrel is ubiquitous around this area of Texas. I’ve seen and photographed so many of them over the years that I’ve lately been reluctant photograph. But something about the backlighting on this one caught my eye.

This view of the park shows what was once a public pool. I believe the pool was originally feed by the active springs in the park. (The largest of the springs are located at the far end of the pool, and aren’t really visible in this shot.) It was later converted to a traditional style chlorinated pool. As you can see, it’s now fallen into disuse.

San Pedro park is the second oldest municipal park in the U.S. It was declared public land in 1729 by King Phillip V of Spain.

The lighting in this building was terrible. I was really pushing the limits of my camera. Shot with my Nikon D300 at ISO 3200! There is WAY more noise than I would like, but it was the only way to get the shot. (Handheld, with no flash).
